Our Life Since March Until Now

Hello Hello... What did the mommy tomato say to the baby tomato?!?!?!?!?!
CATSUP!!! LOL hahahaha

I am still alive I have just been super busy an haven't had anytime to post anything on here I am going to try an do better!! Ok so most of you know Tyler and I have gotten married March 21, 2009.. The wedding was beautiful and everything went almost flawless!!

The week after our wedding we left for our Honeymoon. We went to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. It was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. We were there for 8 days. The weather was amazing..

Then we had to snap back to reality and the same week we came back from our Honeymoon Tyler was blessed with a new job doing almost the same thing. But with a different company which is Servpro, getting paid more, benefits, and a Managers position!! This was a wonderful prayer that was answered. I started babysitting that same week. I have an at home daycare and I LOVE it! I had to unpack all of our wonderful gift we received an find places for all of it.. That was a challenge.

We also got a new car!! An '81 Corvette!!!!

Then the packed full, completely busy life began. Tyler and I have decided to foster and adopt children. Which means we had class every Monday for 3 hours for 10 weeks. It was very demanding. The classes are now over we have our last home study this coming Saturday. They say it could be December 1 before we get our final license. We are hoping to get a placement rapidly and be able to adopt quickly. We are also interested in having our own children. I have been dong quite a bit of photography. First I did my dads wedding he got married it was a very simple nice wedding.

I also have taken my nephew Tommy's 1 year pics.

Beginning next week we are starting to remodel our house. Its going to be a big project but our houses will be much more open afterwards. Which means the decorating must begin!!! YAY my favorite part!! Today my friend Megan and I went to Des Monies to get fabric for the kids room for curtains and accessories. I'm so excited to start just have to bring my sewing machine down stairs tonight after dinner!!
Also I have begun riding mules and donkeys again and I absolutely love it I cant believe I quit for so long.

Tomorrow is Tyler's Birthday he will be 23!!
I will blog again soon an let you know all about the love of my life..... My Husband. Also on my projects and our house. I'm so so sorry its been forever since I have been on here but I think that's a brief catch up.

my emotion last 2 weeks

These last 2 weeks have been a whirl wind. Lets start with all the good news. To start it off Dana and Roger left to Hawaii to celebrate there 25th!! Congrats! It sounds like they had a blast they should be back today!! Dana had given me a list of small things to do for the wedding and I got it all done except a couple but I did get those started. So i think I will be ok lol. On Thursday February 26 I completed high school. I was only going for 1 period a day anyway but its good to know I am completely done!!! Now after the wedding I am starting my at home day care I have all my registration and everything ready to go!! I will end back on a good note but I need to let you all know this and to please be praying for strength and comfort for my friend Kelli and her husband Justin and their family and friends. Here is a little back ground of them they have 2 healthy children at home. They are my neighbors. Kelli was pregnant. 2 weeks ago Kelli had her ultrasound they said the baby had dwarfism so they sent her up to Iowa City so they could see what time of dwarfism it was. Kelli thought she was going up there to see how short here little boy was going to be. They got there did an ultrasound. Said the babies arms were measuring to short. They had a couple bone specialist come in take a look. They found out all the babies bones were bent, twisted, and cracked! They couldn't believe it. It was starting in his limbs and coming in. They were told there baby would not live no matter what. He had no chance. Their "choices" were to either allow the baby to stay in the womb suffering and becoming nothing but broken bones and skin and just wait for her body to terminate him. Or to medically make the procedure faster. Kelli couldn't bare to allow her little boy suffer anymore she decided it would be better to do the medically. It wasn't even really a choice she had it was what needed to be done. Kelli is one of the strongest women I know she is being so strong. She is staying close to God and allowing Him to comfort her and not push him away. Kelli delivered a baby boy on Friday February 27 he was 14.4 oz 9 in. long. They had said he had quit growing 3 weeks ago. They gave him a very strong name. Nathaniel Joseph. We are all very glad he is in Heaven being perfect! I love and miss you Nathaniel I really wish I would have had more time with you. God had different plans for you and I respect those its hard but accepting. The funeral was on Monday and it was beautiful it was chilly. But it was sunny. So please pray for my friends. Thank you! I love you guys.

P.S. 17 more days until the wedding!!

Lives Curves

I haven't blogged in a while. But here is a little catch up. Valentines day was AMAZING! Just relaxed which hasnt happened for a long time! Our Blazer caught on fire on the way home from Pella Roger and Dana had taken us out to Happy Joes!! My fav! But all of a sudden I smelled somethin and as I was asking what it was. The dome light turned on and the dash went all crazy! Then there was a BOOM!!!!! We both looked in the mirror at the same time and ssaw flames EVERYWHERE in the back of the Blazer. So we pulled over. Im yelling at Ty "Theres Flames! Theres Flames!" He just sat there!! I finally just flung my door open an jumped out. Tyler came out and is asking if I am ok. Saying call the 911!!!! So i did but I remembered I got this really cool thing for my garden and im on the phone there telling me "DO NOT get into the car DO NOT open a door GET AWAY from the car!" And Im telling Ty "get my thing!! Hurry!" So he went back and he got it!! I really do love him! But I really love my thinggy for my garden!! (its like an old fashoned wash basin and you can really use it you hook up a hose to the back and the spicket has a nossle!!) Well the guy that was driving behind us thankfully had a shovel and Tyler went back by the blaz and started throwing mud and snow onto it he did get it OUT but OH MY!!! I was freaking out i didnt want it to blow up or something!! Just to remind you this was only in a matter of less than prolly 3 mins!! But every one is ok. God gave us a chance to get out. Allowed us to have a reality check and think about life again we have been so caught up in wedding stuff that I think we had kinda forgot about living!!!

P.S.
ALL WEDDING STUFF IS READY!!!! ERICA & I FINISHED THE PROGRAMS!!

Grandpa Glen

This past week has been a hard week. One of my very good friends past away. Yes Glen was 74 but his age never slowed down our friendship. Glen and his wife Jeanie always wondered what was wrong with me cuz I would much rather hang out with them than with the young kids. I met Glen and Jeanie on my first trail ride with the Monroe County Saddle Club. Glen amazed me with his talent with his hooks. If you never saw Glen's hooks sticking out from under his shirt you would have never even known that he had no arms. I was 12 and fascinated. I was nervous being around all these new ppl and new horses and mules that i clung by my dad. Glen had some power of attracting ppl toward him and within the first 20 mins i was his buddy thru the whole ride. From that day forward Glen was the man i rode with every Sunday. He was so much fun he always had the funniest jokes to tell. I wouldn't always get them right away. He never made fun of me he would wait a couple mins and see if I got it and if not he would explain it. That way I could really laugh at the joke not just laugh cuz everyone else was. lol Glen was my very 1st date and my parents let me go!! We went to the Albia Demolition Derby I really think it might have been one of my best dates ever!! I'm very glad that was my first. Most of my best riding memories are over in Harvey riding with Glen and Jeanie it was always a history lesson of Harvey and a history of Glen and Jeanie's lives. Their love for each other has made me believe love forever CAN happen. I know its going to with me and Tyler. Glen and Jeanie are the ones that have really shown me that it can happen. No matter what the circumstance was...... No matter what struggle was...... If Glen needed something......... If Jeanie needed something it was never a question the other one knew before the other one even had to say it. One story I always loved hearing from Jeanie was about the time she was in 3rd grade and she cut Glens picture out and told him she was going to marry him. That story always makes me smile cuz it reminds me so much of how Tyler and I are. When I was 14 was the very first time I ever met Tyler. I mean I had defiantly heard about him he had the fastest car in the surrounding towns. But the night I met him I was with my boyfriend at the time and when we left

Tyler called him and asked "Who was that girl with you?"

My Boyfriend: My Girlfriend! Why?

Tyler: Tell her she is beautiful.

I love this picture this is really the smiles they both always have on their faces.

From that day I always had my eye on Tyler Taft and he had his eyes on me. He once told me when i get old you will be sitting next to me. After that i kinda drifted away i really thought he was just using words to get what I thought he wanted. But he never stopped being a sweet heart no matter what... that's just how he was. I waited for almost 2 years for him to change and not be the sweet man I was falling wildly for. He still has not changed. Tyler reminds me a lot of Glen. Tyler is strong. Glen was the strongest man I know. Tyler is very intelligent and can fix anything. Glen was so smart in so many areas he knew and could fix EVERYTHING! Tyler is gentle and affectionate. Glen was so gentle he knew exactly how to use his hooks and make sure he never hurt my hand. Glen was also the kind of guy when you would dismount he would be there giving you a hug. I would always hold Glens 'hand' after riding at there house and we would walk into his little buildings and he would show me all his stuff and tell me every story about everything. I was never bored. Any other 12....13....14....15....16...17....18 year old would have been but Glen fascinated me. I knew i wanted to marry a man just like him. And I am. 'Well close' One of my favorite stories from Glen is I loved hearing about a story that involves a TIRE!!! I know right doesn't sound so interesting but that tire has been there since Glen and Jeanie were teens and they were going to use it as a fire ring but it rolled back down the hill and they left it. The story was much longer and much better when Glen told it. One weekend Glen, Jeanie, My dad, and Me all went to Shemik Forest and everything was thawing out and it was RAINING which means it was very muddy. But we went on this crazy ride where our mules were sliding everywhere!! We were heading back and started going in circles. I'm usually not the one to know my directions that was always Dad and Glens job. But for some reason I knew where we were and for some reason they believed me and we got back to camp. That weekend was so much fun. Some of my friends back at school asked if I didn't have reception and really I could in most places but I didn't need to talk to them I had 3 great friends there. After Glen and Jeanie My Mom and Dad and Me all got really close I always looked at Glen and Jeanie as my Grandparents. They always looked at me as their Granddaughter. I was very blessed to be able to meet these 2 ppl they have really showed me what love and life is about. Thank you so much! I love you guys. Just so everyone knows I am one of the most luckiest ppl in the whole world to have Grandparents like these 2. Jeanie will be my Honorary Grandmother at my wedding!!!! That's just a little bit of what Glen was. I couldn't even sum up what Glen was or what he meant to me. But if you got to be fortunate enough to have anytime spent with this man you have been touched. I know it no one could have met him and forgotten. Grandpa Glen you will always been in my heart. I know you will be watching me getting married. I know you will be dancing among us. You will always be watching us I love you.
